No one told the sand about the plan:
Sand dunes, of course, are living things. They move, not only because the wind moves them but because growing organisms underground shift the sand whenever they need growing room. Their power could engulf an entire forest; a human-built boardwalk isn't even a challenge for the mighty dune. Rangers blocked off a major portion of the succession loop trail, which would normally begin here, just between the beach and the foredune.
